
Bandung, February 18, 2025 – The NHI Bandung Tourism Polytechnic welcomed a visit from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The visit was received directly by the Deputy Assistant for Human Resource Capacity Development for Government Apparatus and Vocational Education at the Ministry of Tourism, Mr. Andar Danova L. Goeltom, along with his team, the Director of NHI Bandung Tourism Polytechnic, Mr. Anwari Masatip, and representatives from the campus management.
This visit aimed to discuss a Pilot Project initiated by JICA, which focuses on a Japanese language training program designed to enhance the skills of human resources in the hospitality sector.
This program is strategically designed to meet the demand for professional workers in Japan’s hospitality and tourism industry.
The Ministry of Tourism and JICA also emphasized the importance of collaboration between vocational education institutions and international industries to improve the quality of human resources in the tourism sector. Through this partnership program, students of NHI Bandung Tourism Polytechnic are expected to have greater opportunities to develop their careers on a global scale, particularly in Japan’s hospitality industry.
This visit marks a step toward strengthening cooperation between Indonesia and Japan, which is expected to bring significant benefits to Indonesia’s human resources and support the competitiveness of Indonesian workers in the international market.
