Bandung, December 23, 2024 – A total of 237 students from Politeknik Pariwisata NHI Bandung, Class LXXVIII, have officially been released to undertake their Practical Work Training (PKN).
The students participating in the PKN come from various study programs, namely:
- Hospitality Management Program (4th Semester): 48 students
- Room Division Program (3rd Semester): 44 students
- Food and Beverage Service Program (3rd Semester): 44 students
- Culinary Arts Program (3rd Semester): 51 students
- Pastry Arts Program (3rd Semester): 50 students
The PKN preparation process involved a series of steps, including:
- Socialization of the program and PKN requirements through briefings.
- Conducting psychological tests and delivering the results.
- Medical check-ups.
- Training sessions conducted by industry practitioner, Mr. Gerry Primacitra (General Manager of Swiss-Bel Dago Resort), focusing on readiness for interviews and PKN implementation.
Student placement selection was carried out by considering various factors, such as GPA, English proficiency, attendance, disciplinary records (SP), psychological test results, and study program recommendations. Placement assignments were made both domestically and internationally, according to predetermined standards and criteria.
A total of 83 students successfully passed the selection process for PKN placements abroad. They will be stationed in various prestigious establishments, such as The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, Marriott Hong Kong Ocean Park, St. Regis Hong Kong, The Aberdeen Marina Club, Marriott Hong Kong Skycity, W Hong Kong, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, Courtyard Hong Kong, Le Meridien Hong Kong, Renaissance Harbour View Hong Kong, Melia Kuala Lumpur, Sama-Sama Hotels KLIA, EQ – Kampachi, The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi, Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Best Western Le Lavarin, Djakarta Bali Restaurant Paris, Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort, Hotel Am Stadtgarten Germany, and Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa New Zealand.
Meanwhile, 154 other students have been placed in 63 domestic companies located across 13 regions, ranging from hotels, resorts, restaurants, pastry shops, to academies or baking centers.
