Bandung, July 11, 2024 – Politeknik Pariwisata NHI Bandung Hosts Finalization Meeting of ASEAN Qualification Framework
The event, organized by the Human Resources Development Center of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, was held to fulfill the need for high-quality and competitive human resources in the tourism sector and to support the achievement of vocational education revitalization in tourism. Therefore, higher education institutions capable of developing knowledge, competencies, and skills in the tourism field are needed.
The event was attended by the Vice Chairman of BNSP, Mr. Miftakul Azis, the Director of Competency Standards of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the directors of Poltekpar, and the heads of LSP P1.
On this occasion, Mr. Miftakul Azis delivered a presentation on the expansion of the qualification framework. He emphasized the importance of the KKNI certification scheme and the expansion of scope (PRL) in supporting the quality and competitiveness of human resources in the tourism sector.
The qualification framework documents presented include 52 qualifications that have been carefully developed to ensure that graduates of vocational education in tourism have competencies and skills that meet ASEAN standards. This is expected to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian workers on the international stage, particularly in the ASEAN region.
The submission of these qualification framework documents is a concrete step in efforts to improve the quality of vocational education in tourism and support the achievement of vocational education revitalization goals set by the government. With a standardized qualification framework, it is expected that graduates of vocational education in tourism can more easily enter the workforce and compete with workers from other countries in the ASEAN region.
This meeting also serves as an important momentum, particularly for Politeknik Pariwisata NHI Bandung and other vocational education institutions, to continue their commitment to developing and enhancing the quality of vocational education in tourism, aiming to produce superior and highly competitive human resources.
