Bandung, February 4, 2025 – In preparation for the 2024/2025 academic year, NHI Bandung Tourism Polytechnic (Poltekpar NHI Bandung) held the 20242 Lecture Preparation Workshop for lecturers and teaching staff.
This workshop aimed to equip lecturers with the necessary skills to enhance teaching effectiveness, ensure curriculum alignment, and update technology-based teaching strategies.
Several key topics were the main focus of this workshop, including:
- Refresher on Using Edlink as a Learning Management System (LMS): This session was designed to help lecturers optimize Edlink’s features to improve learning interactions.
- Semester Learning Plan (RPS) Development, Study Plan Card (KRS) Validation, and the Announcement of Permanent Lecturer Appointments: These activities ensured a structured and well-prepared academic process.
In addition to the main agenda, the workshop also featured a Sharing and Learning session, where lecturers who participated in the Schweizerische Hotelfachschule Luzern (SHL) program in Switzerland in 2023 and 2024 shared their experiences on integrating practice-based teaching methods in the hospitality industry.
The next session featured a workshop led by Prof. Samad Chakour from Highline College, Seattle, Washington, USA, who shared insights on teaching methodologies applied in U.S. higher education institutions. Topics such as experience-based learning, student-centered learning approaches, and interactive teaching strategies were the main highlights of this session.
Through this workshop, all Poltekpar NHI Bandung lecturers are expected to be better prepared for the upcoming semester.
