To mark the conclusion of their practical training series, students of the Hospitality Department at Poltekpar NHI Bandung held a Kingsman-themed Gala Dinner. This prestigious event served as the pinnacle moment to demonstrate their skills, professional ethics, and deep understanding of service standards in the hospitality industry.
Embracing the Kingsman theme, students dressed in formal attire inspired by British secret agents—exuding precision, manners, and class. Beyond appearances, they showcased their competence in planning and executing a full-scale event—from organizing and managing the occasion, food and beverage service, to curating an immersive atmosphere.
The event was officially opened by Ms. Endang Komesty Sinaga, Vice Director I of Poltekpar NHI Bandung, and was attended by campus management and external guests, including representatives from the Indonesian Defense University. The presence of these distinguished guests enhanced the formal tone and reflected real appreciation for the students’ efforts.
Notably, the Gala Dinner is held twice over two consecutive weeks. In the first week, one class takes on the role of event producers handling every aspect of service and operations, while the other acts as invited guests in a simulated setting. The roles are reversed in the second week, allowing all students to experience both sides—host and guest.
Aries Riswandi, the event coordinator and lecturer of the Room Division Study Program, emphasized that this activity is more than just a final assessment. It serves as a highly practical learning opportunity that closely mirrors real-world hospitality environments.
This Kingsman-themed Gala Dinner is a testament to the technical skills, professional attitude, and industry readiness of the Hospitality students. With this final practice completed, they are expected to move forward as exceptional, adaptive, and high-integrity professionals in the dynamic world of tourism.
