Amid the rapid tide of globalization, tourism is no longer just about beautiful destinations, but also about security, governance, and legal certainty. This is the spirit carried in the Basic Attitude and Professional Development Program (PSDP) at Poltekpar NHI Bandung, under the theme Law Enforcement, Regional Resilience, and National Tourism Governance.
This session served as a valuable space for new students to understand that being part of the tourism industry is not only about providing service, but also about upholding integrity, protecting sovereignty, and advancing the tourism sector sustainably.
The first speaker, Colonel CHK Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto, SH., MH, Head of the Military Court, emphasized that the law is a pillar that upholds national stability. In the tourism context, the law plays a crucial role in ensuring that every activity is conducted in an orderly, safe, and fair manner—from destination management to the protection of tourists’ and businesses’ rights. He also reminded the audience that the success of the tourism sector is highly dependent on adherence to regulations at both local and national levels.
The second speaker, Inspector General of Police Drs. Krisnandi, SH., MH, Special Staff at the Ministry of Tourism for Destination Security and Supervision, explained the importance of regional resilience as a guarantee for sustainable tourism. A safe and conducive tourism environment can only be achieved through synergy among communities, the government, and industry players.
In addition, he highlighted the urgency of an integrated national tourism governance system—from planning and supervision to promotion—so that Indonesia can remain competitive as a leading destination on the global stage.
The discussion, moderated by Drs. Alexander Reyaan, MM, brought together the messages from both speakers into one conclusion: a strong tourism industry requires a solid legal foundation, secure regions, and professional governance. These three elements form the foundation for the younger generation, including students of Poltekpar NHI Bandung, to build a globally competitive tourism industry while contributing to the nation’s progress.
