Bandung, June 14, 2025 – Poltekpar NHI Bandung, through its Unit of the First-Party Professional Certification Institute (LSP-P1), conducted a Witness activity for the ASEAN MRA-TP (Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals) scheme, directly facilitated by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). The activity took place in the Certification Unit Room and the practical laboratories of each study program.
The event was opened by the Steering Board of LSP Poltekpar NHI Bandung, represented by the Head of Academic Administration, Mrs. Ni Gusti Made Kerti Utami. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the importance of ASEAN-standard competency certification as a concrete effort to enhance the quality and competitiveness of Poltekpar NHI Bandung graduates in both regional and international job markets.
From BNSP, an assessment team was present to ensure the witnessing process was carried out in accordance with procedures and national standards. Serving as Lead Assessor, Mr. Moh. Ali Sodikin led the on-site verification and supervision process. He was accompanied by Mrs. Evi Listiyani as a BNSP Assessor and Mr. Muh. Iftikhardin Muchtar as an observer, who closely monitored the entire implementation process.
The activity covered six labor division schemes aligned with tourism competency fields, namely:
- Food and Beverage Service
- Housekeeping Division
- Culinary Arts
- Pastry Production Arts
- Travel Business – Tour Agent
- Travel Business – Tour Operation
Each scheme was represented by certified competency assessors, along with students from the respective study programs as competency test participants. The assessments were conducted in each program’s practical laboratory, using simulations that reflected real-world working conditions in the tourism industry.
The ASEAN MRA-TP scheme is a cooperative framework among ASEAN member countries to mutually recognize professional certifications in the tourism sector, thereby enabling cross-border mobility of tourism professionals.
Through this witness activity, Poltekpar NHI Bandung reinforces its position as a vocational tourism education institution that not only excels nationally but is also aligned with global standards.
