
NHI Travel Mart 2025: Connecting Markets, Delivering Experiences Through Technology
Politeknik Pariwisata NHI Bandung once again demonstrates its contribution to the national tourism industry. Through the Tourism Travel Business Study Program, Poltekpar held the NHI Travel Mart 2025 with the theme “Next Gen Tourism: Connecting Markets and Experiencing Through Tech,” highlighting the importance of digital transformation in the tourism sector.
The series of events kicked off on Tuesday evening (June 17) with a night culinary pre-tour in the Lengkong area, showcasing local tourism potential and strengthening connections among participants.
The main event was held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Convention Hall of Poltekpar NHI Bandung Campus, featuring the Travel Exchange (TRAVEX).
The event was officially opened by Vice Director I, Mrs. Endang Komesty Sinaga, S.S., MM.Par., CHE, CHRMP, and attended by representatives from the West Java Tourism and Culture Office, Bandung State Polytechnic, and Indonesia University of Education.
TRAVEX featured Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions involving 13 sellers and 22 buyers, as well as a talk show with Drs. Djoni Sofyan Iskandar, MM.Par. (Expert Council of GIPI) and Ervan Kurniawan (CEO of Katara Travel), discussing the role of technology in connectivity and travel experiences.
NHI Travel Mart serves as a meeting point for education, industry, and government to promote smart, inclusive, and sustainable tourism. Beyond being a business forum, this event also serves as a hands-on learning opportunity for students.
“Through technology, we can reach wider markets, create more efficient and personalized experiences, while still respecting local culture,” said Mrs. Endang in her opening remarks.
As an annual event since 2016, NHI Travel Mart continues to evolve as a platform to strengthen collaboration and innovation for a more adaptive and competitive Indonesian tourism industry.
